Connectional Minister of Children and Families
The Connectional Minister of Children and Families will provide ministerial leadership to sustain and expand children’s ministry programs for the churches and the communities. The Minister will explore and develop partnerships for ministry between the two congregations and serve as the connectional link. Approximately, three-quarters of the job will be devoted to ministries at North Church and one-quarter will be devoted to the ministries at East Tenth. The Minister will have a Christ-like attitude that is accepting and inclusive of all the diverse parts of Christ’s Body.

QUALITIES OF THE CONNECTIONAL MINISTER OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES:
You have a passion for urban ministry and compassion for children and the poor. Because this is a new position, which builds on the duties and responsibilities of previous positions, you are flexible, innovative, and work in a cooperative style. You are a self-starter with dreams and vision for growing ministries. You work well with a team, delegate effectively, multi-task easily, and encourage the service of adult volunteers. You are grounded in your own Christian practices and theology, but at the same time, you are open to different viewpoints. You model Christian service in your own life. You have an understanding of the United Methodist tradition, and Wesleyan theology.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Master of Arts in Christian Education or an equivalent degree required
· Experience in children’s ministries required
· United Methodist and/or Wesleyan tradition preferred
