An Individualized Visit
The reason visiting a campus is such an important step in making a decision about where to enroll is because it is the only way to get first-hand information about the institution and your life there potentially as a student. Please come see for yourself what it would be like to be a seminarian at Garrett.
The best days to visit us are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, though we'd be happy to have you on campus any weekday. If you would be coming from a distance but your budget precludes your visiting, please ask us about funding available to help prospective student with travel expenses.
Typically, a campus visit would include your:
- Meeting one-on-one with a member of the Admission Office staff
- Worshipping with us in The Chapel of the Unnamed Faithfuul
- Sitting in on a class
- Having lunch with a current student or two
- Meeting individually with a faculty member in your area of interest
- Meeting with the Director of Financial Aid and the Director of Housing and Hospitality, if desired
If you're coming from out of town, we'd be happy to provide housing for up to two nights for you and your guest. We also provide parking passes for the time you are here.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I schedule a visit?
Simply call Bonnie Brantley, Assistant Director of Admissions, at (847) 866-3945, and she will take it from there. The Admissions Office is open from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
When is a good time to visit?
The best days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, particularly if you would like to sit in on a class, as the majority of classes offered during the day meet on those days. If you need to visit on a different weekday, please just let us know.
What about group visits?
The more the merrier! Coming with a group is a great way to experience the campus.
Can a family member, spouse, partner or friend visit with me?
Absolutely. These people may play a huge part in your life and we understand that you might want to bring them with you. Please feel free to do so.
Will I need a parking pass if I drive to campus?
Yes, you will. Simply let Bonnie know when you email or call that you'll be driving to see us and we'll having a parking pass ready at the main Reception Desk to cover the cost of your parking.
Is there anything I need to bring?
Just your questions, curiosity, and open mind. We would like you to experience seminary life here as much as you can in one day and leave with a good sense of what it would be like to be a seminary student at Garrett-Evangelical. We will provide your meals by hosting you in our Food for Thought cafe while you're on campus, so you can experience that part of Garrett, too. You might want to leave your calorie counter at home, though.
Can I spend the night on campus?
Yes, you are welcome to stay as our guest(s), as long as one of our guest rooms is available that night.
